Playwrights Horizons is an Off-Broadway theater that produces new plays by living playwrights. You're invited to join us for the ASL interpreted performance of our current production:
Regretfully, So the Birds Are
Tuesday, April 25th at 7:30pm
Playwrights Horizons (416 W 42nd Street)
Written by Julia Izumi
Directed by Jenny Koons,
Co-produced with WP Theater
Arson. Affairs. Incest. Murder... are only the beginning of problems for the Whistler siblings. Mora’s gotta find her birth mother, Neel’s gotta find himself, and Illy’s gotta keep her piece of the sky... but the birds have other plans. Julia Izumi’s Regretfully, So the Birds Are is a mad-cap comedy that gleefully flips the human quest for self-discovery on its head.
This live theater experience welcomes members of the d/Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing communities to enjoy the performance with engaging live ASL interpretation. ASL interpreters located in front of the stage will accompany the show, performed as directed with lighting adjustments to aid in interpretation visibility. In addition, reserved seating will provide guests with a clear view of both the interpreters and stage.
We have a limited number of remaining seats available for this evening.
